Always-On-Top
Pins open windows so they stay on top of every other window. Also handles transparency, layout snapshots and hotkey support.
What it does
Use this to keep the calculator visible over another app, watch a video while using other software, or keep a reference document on top while you work.
How to use
Five tabs:
Pin Manager
- Open windows show up in the list.
- Pick the one you want to pin.
- Click Pin or use a hotkey.
- Adjust Opacity to make the window translucent if you want.
Foreground
Shows which window is active in real time.
Layouts
Save the current window arrangement as a "snapshot". Restore it later with one click.
Hotkeys
Define global hotkeys:
- Pin/unpin the active window
- Change opacity
- Switch to a layout
Settings
Scan interval, default opacity and similar settings.
Transparency
Adjustable from 50% to 100%. 100% fully visible, 50% half transparent (you can see what is behind). The 50% minimum keeps you from accidentally hiding the window completely.
Click-Through Mode
Makes the window translucent AND lets clicks pass through to whatever is behind. Great for keeping a translucent guide on top.
Examples
Calculator always on top: Open the calculator, pick it in Pin Manager, Pin. Always visible from now on.
Translucent reference doc: Open a PDF, Pin, Opacity 60%. You see the reference while typing.
Keep a video visible while working: Pin a YouTube/Netflix window, Opacity 85%. Stays in the corner while you code.
Saved work arrangement: Lay the windows out, save it in Layouts as "Work Setup", restore with one click later.
Watch out
- Windows only. No Mac or Linux.
- System windows (Task Manager, Start menu) cannot be pinned, blocked for safety.
- UWP (Microsoft Store) apps sometimes do not pin cleanly.
- Closing the app auto-unpins everything you pinned.
- Too many pinned windows can slow the machine down.
