Video Audio Master
Manages the audio track on video files. Mute the audio, adjust the level, or add background music.
What it does
Use this to add background music to vlogs, boost the volume on too-quiet videos, mute videos with unwanted ambient noise, or layer music onto silent promo clips.
How to use
- Drag video files into the list.
- Set what you need:
- Tick Mute Original Audio for silent videos.
- Adjust the Volume slider (up or down).
- Pick a Background Music file and set the Mix Ratio.
- Click Run.
You get one audio-edited copy per video.
Settings
- Mute Original Audio: When on, the video has no original sound. Background music (if any) is what plays.
- Volume (0-200%): 100% is original level, 50% half, 200% double.
- Background Music: Pick an MP3, WAV or M4A file.
- Mix Ratio (0-100%): How loud the background music is relative to the original. 30% is standard, music stays in the background. 70%+ puts music in front.
Examples
Add background music to a vlog: Add the video, pick a music file, Mix Ratio 25%, run. Music sits underneath the speech.
Layer music onto a silent promo: Add the video, Mute Original Audio on, pick the music, Mix 80%, run.
Boost a too-quiet video: Add the video, Volume 150%, run.
Mute ambient noise in batch: Add the videos, Mute Original Audio on, no background music, run. You get fully silent videos.
Watch out
- This is not professional mastering. No EQ, compressor or noise reduction. For those use Denoiser and Normalization.
- Volume above 150% may distort.
- A background music file shorter than the video ends early, longer gets cut off.
- For speech + music mixes, 30-40% usually feels natural.
- Mix Ratio 0% = only original audio, 100% = only background music.
