Video Speed Controller
Slows down (slow motion) or speeds up (time-lapse) videos. Speed range from 0.25x to 10x.
What it does
Use this to dramatise sports moments in slow motion, turn drone flights into time-lapses, condense training videos into summaries, or compress nature footage into watchable clips.
How to use
- Drag video files into the list.
- Set the Speed Multiplier (between 0.25x and 10x).
- Pick an Output Format (MP4 recommended).
- Click Run.
You get one speed-adjusted copy per video. Audio is auto-synced.
Speed multipliers
| Multiplier | Effect |
|---|---|
| 0.25x | Very slow, for breaking down sports moments. |
| 0.5x | Slow motion. |
| 0.75x | Slightly slowed. |
| 1.0x | Original (default). |
| 2.0x | Double speed. |
| 4.0x | Four times speed, for training summaries. |
| 8.0x - 10.0x | Time-lapse, for compressing very long footage. |
Examples
Slow-motion sports moment: Add the video, 0.25x, run. Motion shows in detail.
Speed up a training video into a summary: Add the video, 2.5x, run. Shorter run-time, viewers stay engaged.
Drone-flight time-lapse: Add the drone video, 8x, run. A 10-minute flight becomes 1.25 minutes.
Condense a presentation recording: Add the recording, 1.5x or 2x, run. No info lost, less time.
Watch out
- When slowing down (0.25x-0.75x) the pitch drops, voices sound robotic. Use it for visuals only.
- When speeding up (2x+) the pitch rises, voices sound chirpy.
- Very high speeds (8x+) shorten the video so much that motion looks broken.
- Below 0.25x or above 10x is not supported.
- The change re-encodes, with a small quality hit.
